Over the last few weeks I've tried all of the Thai food I could find in Fort Collins. This one is my favorite. The food was freshest, had the most flavor, and was a great value ($10 lunch buffet).

Good food, great lunch price. We were visiting the Fort Collins area and found this place on Yelp. Lunch is all you can eat for 6.99, you are limited to whatever they have on the menu for lunch. We had our kids with us and they ate 2 for the price of one. Food was tasty and plentiful. The restaurant itself is a bit of a dive, but the good places usually are.

I tried the Combo plate and found it a terrific tour of Thai flavors. I look forward to trying other offerings.

price point is amazing, service is great, food is so-so. i so want to be a fan of this place because of the price and service, but the food just doesnt keep me on the toy train.

I like Toys the best out of any other place in FC. The food isn't great, the atmosphere isn't great, the prices are ok. I mostly like the people who work there and the little fish tanks they have. I've had some ok food here, and a few times when it was really really not good. But eh, until something better comes to town (oh please please do come, I'm begging you, Mr/Ms great Thai food , come open a really great Thai place here!!) I guess this is my place when I am jonesing for Thai.

Please, I know it's cheap, but do not eat here! Take this off the wikitravel page for Ft. Collins! We arrived for dinner and ordered the Chicken Pad Thai and the Geang Subparod (Pineapple Curry) with Pork. Though the service was gracious and decent, the food was awful! The meat in both dishes was mealy and tough and the eggs in the pad thai tasted rotten as if they were cooked in a nasty, putrid pan. The sauces were watery and bland with undercooked veggies. Please go elsewhere for dinner! Worst thai food I've ever ordered!

Not only does this place have some of the best Thai food we have ever eaten, but their prices are amazing as well. The owners are some of the nicest people we have ever come across, they should be rated 5 stars!

Im sad I even have to give it one star. I ordered pad thai and chicken satay. 3 people came in after me and got their food first. Took them 40min for my food, and then he has the nerve to tell me they didnt have time to make the chicken satay. It wasnt even before closing time! To top it off, it wasnt even good pad thai. It is absolutely not worth going here. It might be cheap, but it's worse than mediocre and not worth it.

Took my money and never gave me my food. Took two hours to get a response back. This place should be closed

Avoid, avoid avoid! This isn't Thai food. It is bland, poorly cooked food. There is no flavor to anything. I don't think Thai spices and ingredients are even used. Should probably be closed down so something better can occupy the space. Runny, flavorless sauce over overcooked chicken and poorly cooked (and scant ) vegetables. I could only eat a few bites, before cutting my losses and getting lunch elsewhere. It was that bad, folks.

I don't come here often, but I came recently with a good friend who absolutely loves this place. We come here for their lunch buffet special. I think it's a pretty good price for all you can eat, but I am not a huge huge fan of their food. I much rather spend a little bit more on other Thai restaurants.

Having moved from Gulf Coast Florida, which has a sizeable Thai population since 70's, I've experienced good Thai food. Being new to FC I wanted to try this place out and was very disappointed. Completely bland food, flavorless sauces, and overall not a good value for the money. I had the Pad Thai (easy to make, difficult to screw up) and this place flopped. With close proximity to CSU campus, this place gets business from students who are less discerning and want a cheap meal. With other much better places such as Bahn Thai down the street, very sure I won't come here again.

In keeping with the recent trend in reviews... UGH. This place was beyond terrible. I was FAMISHED, and so just about anything should have tasted great. Thai, doubly so. I could not even finish 1 of the 3 things I ordered. I cannot believe the dive in quality at Toy's. There must be a new owner, new cook, or something. What a waste of money and perfectly good raw ingredients, somehow ruined beyond edibility. I am now spending the afternoon hungry and cursing, tied to my desk and feeling wistful about dinner. Pizza, I think. Geesh!

WORST THAI FOOD EVER! I don't know how they stay open for business, let alone pass health department standards to serve food.

This place was interesting! We first went in knowing it was a lunch buffet but it was still a little confusing. We read the yelp reviews and it looked like a good place and after we left we were completely satisfied and thought it was a scrumptiousThai cafe. Now, our experience was this. Short, Sweet, and to the point. The waiter(who was an older gentlemen) didnt really speak to us. Didn't ask us what we wanted to drink. So we just settled for the water that he gave us. He didn't explain how the buffet worked so when he started bringing out a variety of bowls filled with food we were like" I guess this is how the buffet works?" He kept bringing bowls of different food when we would be done with our previous bowls. All the food was good except, I didnt really know what the plates were and what was going on. A buffet is usually "all you can eat" but we were kind of uncomfortable with asking for more food because the waiter wasnt much of a talker and didnt give us the time to ask for more lol..seemed like a hardass. Anywho! The food was good for a little Thai Cafe in old town. It's definitely an interesting buffet. Turns out- you can actually ask for more bowls of the food you liked- as much as you want. I learned that from someone else who has been there previously. It's a place where FoCo foodies should try atleast one time. I will be back for lunch!

Whoa! I had been craving Thai food for a while, but whoa. We haphazardly tucked into this place en route to B and B's Pickle Barrel. What a mistake that was. We ate a few bites of our food, paid begrudgingly, and walked over to BB's. Should've stuck with our original plan. Bummer for us and bummer for anyone that thinks this place serves anything resembling Thai food. The food is flavorless and bland and did not have any hint of Thai spice. There was no love in the food; it wasn't even Americanized good. Ouch. The food was served fast, which may not be a good thing in this case. The green curry I ordered wasn't even green! The most abysmal item was the spring rolls we ordered, which was like a cheap cole slaw mix from the store wrapped in the rice noodle wraps, which had been over cooked and were too soft. Iceberg lettuce? Ack! Where was the mint and basil? Up the ante and charge more. The peanut sauce tasted awful. Until further notice, avoid at all cost. Oh wait, I don't live in Fo.Co., so that won't be a problem. It was so bad we only are 10 percent our food and left; we can normally soldier through okay food.

Last night we ordered 3 entrees and an app to go. All three of the meals were honestly horrible. They had next to no sauce, toppings, spice or flavor. The only reason I am giving them two instead of one star is because I previously had an average to good meal there. Oh, the app was ok but that was only because the peanut sauce gave it some flavor.

Yech. The food was just awful, they're not even pretending to be trying to run a restaurant; they just don't care anymore. I had been here back in 2011 and I thought it was good then, but they've obviously given up since then.

Food was average compared to other Thai restaurants in Fort Collins and Denver. However, I enjoyed the curry the most. Wish the proportions were a bit larger. Left not completely full... but atleast the prices were reasonable. Customer service was poor. It was our table and then a single guy at another table. No one checked up on us while we were eating... odd since the worker just hung out towards the back. I would recommend taking food to go instead of eating there....

If you know what Thai food is SUPPOSED to taste like, you will seriously dislike this place. I'm not sure what kind of cuisine this was, but it was not Thai. Foco is not necessarily known for its authentic Asian, but this was ridiculous. I ordered two different items from the menu. Both were pretty awful and watery. I actually ended up throwing one entree completely out after the first few bites and making myself Ragu and pasta! Yes, it was that bad. The vegtables were steamed to the point of soggy without flavor and the watery sauce was anything but spicy. I was completely disappointed.

Toy's Thai Cafe is one of my favorite restaurants in town. It's very hole-in-the-wall, but that's where you have to go to find the best Asian food. The food isn't fancy, but it's very homey, like something an Asian mom would make. It's also cheap and the lunch buffets are awesome!

I love thai food, but this is not an ideal date place. It's kind of a hole in the wall decorated with christmas lights and a fish tank. Oh, there's also a kitchen in there somewhere. I ordered carryout. I love crab rangoons, but these were extremely oily. I also ordered Drunken Noodles with Chicken. This was very good. I think I will give this place another shot to try the curry dish, but only on a carryout basis.

If you've ever eaten Thai food, you've probably had better than this. Poor service and poor quality, the food usually does not sit well with me. Little to no vegetables (except carrots and celery) in most dishes, but I hear that's typical of traditional Thai cuisine in Thailand. Coming from one with Thai as my favorite and my stomach agreeing just fine with a high level of spice, Toy's will go right through me. I wonder if they use tons of MSG... The ambiance is definitely not something that improves the experience for me. If you must really try it, do the lunch buffet and give a few things a try, but don't expect much. Again, the service is horrible.

went here for lunch on a sunday, and they dont have the buffet lunch. prices are reasonable on paper, but when the dishes arrive, you really aren't getting much food at all. i ordered a green curry chicken, and it tasted way too sweet. there was pretty much 3 pieces of chicken. although it tasted mediocre, i don't find it memorable. actually i will remember it for its over sweetness.

I really like the all you can eat lunch deal. The food is amazing. For two of us it was less expensive than it would have been for one of us to eat elsewhere. If you're into good Thai food, go there. If you care about decor and music, go elsewhere.

This was doomed from the beginning. I tried to check-in, and kept getting a message that said "you are too far away to check in"---when I was sitting in the place at the time! I should have caught that foreboding omen. My memories of this once favored spot belie the truth on my plate. It has been at least a couple of years since I had been here and my anticipation for this meal was left wildly unfulfilled by the bland and undeveloped flavors. The brightest spot of the meal was the fresh mushrooms of the soup. Overall the dishes were muted, dull, and fairly reeking of 3 day old leftovers. So here I write my final epitaph for Toy's Thai Cafe: Your succulent and bright flavors exist no longer, Replaced by a bland, hollow swipe of unsatisfying effort. R.I.P 2011

Don't listen to the negative reviews. This place is a great value and definitely has some good food. The fact that it is a hole in the wall joint adds to the experience. I spend most of my time on campus right across the street and will be sure and stop in a couple more times for lunch.

I love Toy's Thai!! The food is great (skip the dinner buffet though) and cheap. When you walk in it feels like you are walking into a place in Thailand (yes, I have been there). The owner, I am assuming?, is really nice. Sometimes my husband and I want to go twice a week, like a day after we already went!

Toy's Thai is a small hole-in-the-wall type of place, in a great location. But I don't think the convenience outweighs the negatives. I will only order take out after a bad in house dining experience. The staff is standard, polite, and somewhat fast. But I disliked the dining room tables, the music, the smell of the place. I wish there had been stronger flavors in my chicken Pad Thai, and I essentially doused it in sriracha. There are so many Thai places in Fort Collins, I'd suggest trying another.

Circa 2002 I lived in Fort Collins right down the street from this little Thai joint. I remembered it being a little hole in the wall with Thai Karaoke Television always on and the chicken yellow curry being quite tasty. Last year when I went back to visit briefly, I swung by to pick up some take out for myself and some friends. I decided to order my new favorite thai dish, Pad Kee Mou. This is supposed to be a noodle dish with sweet basil, carrots, peppers and onions. What I got looked like someone had taken old vegetable garbage and put it in a food processor. It was mush. Shredded vomit mush. Needless to say I didn't eat it nor return. I think this is mainly a place for really desperate CSU kids who just don't know better or unfortunately think this is thai food.

I liked this place. Has a nice hole in the wall feeling to it. It's also pretty cheap and the staff is very friendly. I recommend it.

Love this place! My favorite is the Ginger Stir Fry. Great Thai tea and coffee. Inexpensive meal but good. Wish they had dessert though.

I haven't tried the dinner selection; only the lunch buffet. For that experience, I highly recommend the place. Very small, so no room for a buffet. Therefore, they bring the buffet to you! The daily selection is on a poster on the door, and when you sit down, they just bring you everything on that sign for the day. The sesame chicken (Wednesday and Friday) is very good, but different from what you're used to. For only $6.99 the food is delicious and ample.

Really good food but the restaurant could use some remodeling. At least some new tables and chairs:) great service and good prices! I forget the name of my meal but it was a combo of pad thai, red curry, and an egg roll. First time I've tried Thai tea too, delish!

Great deal on the lunch buffet..good variety and authentic flavor. Plus a great price! Also, not a traditional buffet where you serve yourself. They have everything in the back and bring it out to you as you ask for it.
